OUR STORY

The pine tree is a strong symbol of thriving, wisdom & longevity, and behind it stands a strong history of healing & wellness.

The pine tree was regarded as sacred as the needles and sap were used as medicine against illnesses. The tree is a symbol of strength and resiliency, as the various pine species can withstand cold and snow as well as rocky soil, wind, and drought.

We chose to use a single pine tree as our logo because it represents the strength & resiliency one can have when proper care & attention is given to healing, improving and maintaining one's health.

Allison McGrath

RMT

  • Allison's preferred area of practice is addressing symptoms of acute and persistent pain, complex pain syndromes, injuries, autoimmune & chronic illness, stress, traumas, ptsd, post-concussion syndrome, oncology massage, lymphatic care, and lymphedema therapy.

She integrates a variety of techniques into her patients' treatments while being mindful of the evidence based practices of manual therapy, studies of pain management, healing processes, and the intricate ways in which all body systems work together.

She continues to pursue training in trauma-informed care to better support her patients and to provide a safe, inclusive practice.

Allison changed her approach to treatment when she began noticing early in her career that her patients' pain responses weren't merely localized mechanical symptoms related to physical dysfunction and injury alone.

This realization led her to study and adopt a science-based, biopsychosocial approach to care that considers the whole person rather than just the symptomatic areas of pain or dysfunction.

When away from her office, Allison lives an active outdoor lifestyle alongside her family, her beloved horses, and her favourite adventure buddy, her dog Walter.
